Otari MTR90III with Remote CB-120 Auto Locator
For sale is a rare vintage Otari MTR90III 2" 24 tracking analog tape machine with Otari CB120 auto locator and Otari CB-147 Remote Control Unit. Includes cabling, MRL alignment tape with 2" takeup reel and spare parts. We have multiple videos showing operation, message us for links. We are not a tape machine shop or specialists in tape machines and only gave this a brief test. Our techs note the following:
- Transport works on MTR90, CB-147, and CB120.
- Repro and vari-speed work.
- All switches, LEDs, and functions tested on the remote worked.
- We were not able to record on channel 1, but were able to record on channel 13. We did not try any other channels.

- Repro and vari-speed work.
- All switches, LEDs, and functions tested on the remote worked.
- We were not able to record on channel 1, but were able to record on channel 13. We did not try any other channels.
- Input passes on all channels.
- Transport switch lamps are out except the CB120.
- Overall, it is in good shape, but the buyer will probably need to do some servicing. We do not offer in-house servicing on tape machines.
